EMN Marathons - Longplays
Longplays are uninterrupted straight-shot playthroughs of video games. No commentary, just footage from point A to point B. Mandy and I have a lot of love for longplays as one of our pasttimes before we started living together was jumping into a video chat and putting on a random Sega CD or Sega Saturn longplay and just chatting until one of us fell asleep. It's comfy, and we have a lot of fond memories of really weird games as a result, like Jeopardy for Sega CD, or the Saturn version of Minnesota Fats: Pool Legend.
While this channel's initial idea as a sleep aid has been taken over by Vibes, there's still a ton of fun to be had in watching random video game footage. Plus, this isn't restricted by era, platform, or genre, with everything from PS4 horror games to Game Boy platformers in the mix. Of course, several of the games are some of the classics we used to watch together, but there are tons of surprises as well, and it's especially cool to see modern game footage on a CRT in some way. It's fun!
If you're looking for longplay footage yourself, World of Longplays and NintendoComplete are goldmines of content.
