NEVER CONFIRMED ![]() Guess what? Take a look at that screenshot. What do you see? The Triforce. Yep. I told you so. Let Video Gamer X quote himself, - On Link's quest status you will notice that there is a Triforce in the center, and if you also notice as you complete dungeons areas for the medallions will fill in, but the triforce, even if you complete the game, never fills in. Now remember that screenshot on The Odyssey of Hyrule main page? You follow my drift here...It has to be in the game somewhere folks, and it's going to take a savvy gamer to find it. and I went on to say, Some have said that it seems that the Triforce is raised on that screen, and just for decoration rather than lowered like the medallion section, but I say this. The symbols inside the Medallions are raised are they not. If you master Zelda, then you will know that every space on Link's Quest Status is utilized except for the space with the Triforce in it. I'm not stupid, it had to be there, all the other great monumental Zelda's had it, and so too does Ocarina of Time. And now a very substatial lead has been obtained from a shall I say less than divulent source. When I checked my E-mail at about 9:00 I was scanning though the usual stuff and discovered this (harsh profanity editied only):
With this message he included the picture at the top of the page. This is the best triforce lead I've ever seen...but I'm not totally convinced. Being the critical skeptic I am, I could say he might have faked or altered a screenshot of the Quest Status. (For what purpose I couldn't fathom) I'm not saying that he did, just that the possibility remains that it could have happened. What supports the screenshot being real are the following things; First, I doesn't look altered. Second, I've been to that very same spot in the Temple of Time he's standing at when he made the pic and it looks exactly like that (except I had more skulltulas, all 100, but I'm not bragging). And Third, this is definately the American Version, look at the buttons. As far as rumors go, this one supercedes the one with blowing up all the Gossip Stones. (Every time I thought I had blown them all, there was another one I forgot about, and I had to start over, don't worry I'll get to him later...heh, heh, heh) and besides there is an obvious conflict between the screenshot and the statement that Kenneth M. Burton made,"You must have all 100 gold skulltulas" as one of the criteria to get the Triforce. I did send this guy a couple of letters with questions regarding this hot topic, but so far he hasn't replied. (Somehow I think he might be too afraid or *cucco* to write me back and tell me how he did it, but I won't go there...yet.) Seriously though, as far as rumors go, the rumors on the Triforce Rumors page get 25% of the doubt. Kenneth M. Burton's Big Rumor gets 50% of the doubt, and this guy gets 75% (pictures are better than 1000 words) until he prooves what he did was real. Video Gamer X's Analysis of Image - Some people have started looking carefully at the image to decern anything from it. Here's what I've found. It is exactly like the Quest Status in the American Version of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. According to the information and evidence at hand, he has the following items, The Stone of Agony, The Gerudo Membership Card, all the songs, all the Medallions, all the spiritual stones, 73 Gold Skulltulas, a doubled magic bar, 19 3/4 doubled heart containers, the 30 ct. Bomb Bag, the regular quiver, the golden gauntlets, and the Golden Scale. He's obviously been to Ganon's Castle and probably completed it because he has the golden gauntlets. This image was taken on Adult Link's quest status, standing on the triforce pedistal facing the doorway of the Temple of Time. I've personally enlarged the picture numerous times its original size and discovered that the Items he has on the "C" buttons are as follows: Left C - A bottle with a bug or a poe in it, Down C - the Longshot, Right C - The Ocarina of Time. Here's the pic sharpened up a bit. ![]()
The previous information was from early January when I first recieved the screenshot. Since then I have never been able to confirm the existence of an obtainable Triforce appearing on the Quest Status. I had my hopes about it, but I did have some skepticism. The Jury is still out on that image. I think it was made in Photoshop version 5.2, but then again I'm not sure if it was actually doctored in that program. If it was made in a Graphics Program then oh well, it's bogus. Has anyone actually SEEN this, besides all the imaginary claims and stories. Have any of the over six million people who bought Zelda 64 ever found the Triforce? You decide in your own mind whether it's real or not. |
