VIDEO GAMER X'S LEGO's
Video Gamer X's LEGO's!? What on earth is this idiot thinking of? This is a ZELDA website, not...LEGO's. Oh, well, I just had to do it. I just have so many LEGO's that felt you gamers NEEDED to know about each and every one of them right down to that tiny neon-green piece that looks like a nose cone (okay, okay, maybe not EVERY one) But anyway, if your ready to bear with this page, then you can stay, otherwise click on the "Back" button on your browser. If you want to read about my LEGO's then continue. I'm really sorry but this page has absolutly nothing to do with Zelda. Oops, My Bad!
Video Gamer X has amassed quite an extensive collection of LEGO's spanning from Town, Space, Technics, to Star Wars. I've been getting LEGO's since I was 5, and now have boxes and boxes of them, as well as a lot of really cool personal creations as well.
THE SETS I HAVE
Before I have records of them or any way of naming the sets I got my parents bought me my first LEGO set when I was 5. It was a fire station. Then later they bought me a Cargo and Mail Depot that came with a Jet. Then A police station. There was a couple more after that but I forgot those. I more than likely still have the parts to those in my collection somewhere. Trust me, I keep everything.
- 6985 LEGOLAND Space "Cosmic Fleet Voyager" - A big bulky-looking blue and white spaceship. came with a little grey car and four space men. (broke apart ages ago and filltered into main LEGO pool)
- 6940 LEGOLAND Space "Alien Moon Stalker" - an AT-AT like walker with a grappler arm on the back and two antenna things on the top. (Lost many of these pieces in the pool filter or in the dirt outside)
- 6952 LEGOLAND Space "Solar Power Transporter" - a three-car rover/surface vehicle with three early (no-facesheild) space guys, and a robot.
- 2 x 6780 LEGOLAND Space "Light and Sound TX-Starship" - First spaceship LEGO made to use Light and sound. I bugged my parents to get me two of these. As a kid it was my favorite ship and I would take it just about everywhere with me. I eventually took it apart and made all kinds of things with it. I used the wing-juts for stantions for starbases and other spaceships. LEGO's first best spaceship. I still have all the light and sound devices today and they amazingly work after twelve years.
- 6931 LEGOLAND Space "FX-Star Patroller" - a good spaceship for it's day. Originally came with a robot and mini-rover. The pieces to this thing have long since been assimilated into the collective of my LEGO population.
- 6845 LEGOLAND Space "Cosmic Charger" - a little blue and white (that seemed to be the color motif that year) spaceship that came with a white space man.
- 6883 LEGOLAND Space "Terrestrial Rover" - a blue rover with eight wheels, came with a white satellite looking thing and a white space man.
- 2 x 6923 M-Tron "Particle Ionizer" - kind of a cool looking helecopter looking ship with magnetic grabber arm and robot. These were the first year of the neon-green parts and magnet pieces. I ended up destroying it and the parts ended up in my Red and Black custom made "Mothership" That set had some of the best pieces ever made.
- 6896 M-Tron "Celestial Forager" - a big wheeled red and black rover with a crane with a magnet and a box at the back. (This one was really corny and didn't last very long)
- 3 x 6877 M-Tron "Vector Detector" - a small red and black spaceship with neon-green antennas, windshield, and discs and a magnetic piece for picking up boxes with magnets on them. (Used this one for parts and computer plates)
- 6833 M-Tron "Beacon Tracer" - a little car with a spaceman, and a computer plate, a neon-green antenna, and thats about it. (Parted it out)
- 6811 M-Tron "Pulsar Charger" - tiny spaceship with spaceman and neon-green antenna and mini rocket engine (Those were a hot commodity in those days, now there a dime a dozen, oh how these times change)
- 6990 Futron Monorail System - A huge (well over 1000 pieces) set with a monorail, tracks, two bases, and a train powered by a 9 volt motor, and lots o' space men. My friend, John, got this one for Christmas and got bored with it and gave it to me. I ended up making some really cool space outposts and bases with that.
- 6852 Space Police "Sonar Security", - little rover with eight wheels, a neon-orange antenna, and some-kind of little satellite - (Busted it ages ago)
- 6813 Space Police "Gallactic Chief" - Little mini-spaceship with regular green windshield, (Bought for parts only)
- 6887 Blacktron "Allied Avenger" - Weird looking X-Wingish spaceship. (Must have busted this one right after I bought it)
- 6933 Blacktron "Spectral Starguider" - a six wheeled ATV with neon-green octagonal domes forming various parts of the vehicle - (can't remember what happened to this one)
- 3 x 6834 Ice Planet "Celestial Sled" - A small sled with a neon-orange antenna and a radio-dish unit with a space-man and a saw. (Used these for parts)
- 6879 Ice Planet "Blizzard Baron" - a small ship with neon-orange antenna, ski's, windshield, and satellite dish. - (Was dismantled and used to build a really cool base)
- 6258 - Pirates "Smugglers Shanty" - a small shelter on a tiny island, a rowboat, and a shark. Came with two pirates a Royal Redcoat guy. - (Just wanted the shark)
- 6266 - Pirates "Pirate's Cove" - a small fortification with a cannon a mini jail, a bush, and a red rowboat. (Actually still have this one in one piece in a box somewhere in my room)
- 6082 - Dragon Masters "Fire Breathing Fortress" - A big castle on a hill that came with a dragon, a wizard, horses and knights. This was one of my favorites and I still have part of the basic structure of that castle inside my supercastle I built years ago.
- 2 X 6076 Dragon Masters "Dark Dragon's Den" - A rocky fortification with a gate holding a dragon inside. Came with two knights on horseback, a wizard with a glow-in-the-dark wand, a dragon, and a crossbowman. I used part of it to make my supercastle, and broke apart another one I bought for parts to build onto the supercastle.
- 6075 Castle "Wolfpack Tower" - A bridge-like structure where wolfpacks would hide their treasure. Came with those shady looking guys in brown with a wolfhead on their chest. (I trashed this thing long ago, Part probably became incorporated somewhere on the castle. Still have all the mini-figs though)
- 2 x 6048 Dragon Masters - "Majisto's Magical Workshop" - An openable house/tree that came with a knight with a big battle-axe, a wizard and wand, and a bird. (I still have this one today, fully intact as part of the castle environment world I made years ago. I had bought another one just for parts)
- 6056 Dragon Masters - "Dragon Wagon" - A wagon with a dragon in it. (Broke it apart the day I built it)
- 6038 Castle "Wolfpack Renegades" - another horse drawn wagon with a couple of those brown hooded Wolfpack guys and some treasure. (Took the horses, Parted it out)
- 6034 Castle "Black Monarchs Ghost" - a small mosoleum with a ghost inside, came with a knight on horseback. (Used the ghost in a game I made out of LEGOs)
- 8720 Technic Motor and accessories - used to make a self-propelling car/robot that would sweep debris out of it's way as it moved across the ground. (Still have this one)
- 2 x 6949 Spyrius "Robo Guardian" - A big robot with a spacecraft on it's head. (Used both of these for parts to make "The Mothership"
- 2 x 6939 Spyrius "Saucer Centaurian" - A saucershaped octagonal space-ship with double cockpits and deployable mini-rover. Came with lots of nifty parts like a big grapling arm and large panels. (Built the first one and kept it for awhile then bought another one and dismantled these to create "The Mothership"
- 5 x 6835 Spyrius "Saucer Scout" - small round ship with a blue dome and a mini-fig. (Yes I bought five of these, used some for parts for the "Mothership" and kept two intact (a little modified) to this day as part of "The Mothership's" detachable fleet of nasty attack vessels.
The Following are sets that I have that I don't know the name of because it isn't in the instructions or the guide. These names were specifically on the boxes, but I threw those away a long time ago.
- 6078 Royal Knights "Bridge Over Water?" - A trick bridge that would drop intruders into the water. It had look-out tower and two blue topped and flagged spires. Came with four knights, two of which were crossbowman. (I ended up using the parts for this one on my castle)
- 6044 Royal Knights "Kings Stagecoach?" - a cart with a king with a golden crown. Came with three knights and two horses. (Still have it put together today as part of my midieval scene.)
- 6175 Aquanauts "Submersible with arms" - I originally wanted it just for the compass and the octopus part, but ended up making a really cool amphibious reconaissance vehicle (their model sucked) out of the set. I still have the vehicle today. It sits atop my bookcase next to the Shiny Darth Vader Mug.
- 6262 Islanders "King Kahukas Throne?" - A throne with palm fronds and a grey head on it. Came with a small red sailboat and an aligator. I don't know what posessed me to buy this lame one.
- 6765 Wild West "Bank and General Store" - part of a small western village. Had some interesting parts in it like playing cards, dynamite, money, guns, safes, a cannon, and some cool mini-figs of cowboys and union soldiers. Also had a stagecoach. I still have this one constructed today.
- 6755 Wild West "Sheriff's Department" - Came with a jail, and banditos to put in the jail. Not a bad looking "conversation piece" set. Still have it constructed today.
- 6856 Exploriens "Spaceship with big round gun thing" - Had some unique parts on it that I wanted like a clear blue barrel. I ended up using this set to make a cool satellite antenna array for an installation I constructed.
- 5918 Adventurer's "Jeep" - A jeep with an Indiana Jones dude in it. Came with scorpiens, a shotgun, a pick-axe, a shovel, a pair of binoculars, and a map. It's sitting on top of my computer case next to an african cheetah and a translucent blue Obi-Wan Kenobi right now.
- 5938 Adventurer's "Egyptian Tomb" - a booby-trapped tomb with heiroglyphics on it and a palm tree. came with a skelleton wearing an egyptian royal headress that would pop out. ...Weird (What will these toy marketing geniuses think of next!)
- 6975 U.F.O. "Shovel-nose spaceship" - Actually the coolest looking affordable ship to come out of LEGO for awhile. It is decorated with an X-Wing style wing placement, and some real interesting parts. The front forms a half-circle. I ended up adding an extra set of long antenna lasers to this one to even it out top and bottom otherwise this model stands today untouched (a bit dusty though, yuck!)
- 6900 U.F.O. "UFO with legs?" - A UFO with legs. It rotates and has these four antennas that stick out and a dome cockpit. Strange looking thing.
- 6083 Ninjas "Japanese-esqe Building" - a white, black, and red structure, with two large brown doors on the front. The second level is detachable and has a green rope connected to it. The back of the structure has a guillatine battle-axe that swings. Goofy looking building, but good enough to add to the midieval village. Mini-Figs come with samauri swords.
- 7130 Star Wars "Snowspeeder" - Looks like a snowspeeder.
- 7140 Star Wars "X-Wing" - If you don't know what one of these is, you've probably been living in a hole somewhere.
- 7110 Star Wars "Luke's Landspeeder" - Comes with old Obi-Wan and Luke. May the force be with them.
- 7128 Star Wars "Speeder Bikes" - Two of those "Shoot me, stone me, kill me" White Imperial Storm Troopers on speeder bikes and Luke with his trusy Lightsaber.
- Just got three new Star Wars sets of Darth Maul and Qui-Gon, a Droid Ship, and a Naboo Fighter recently. The Naboo Fighter looks better on the box than after construction. This one is worthy of parting out. The droid ship was rather lame too. I made some odd-ball contraption out of the parts. Two days ago I bought an X-Treme team plane-car to get the parts for other projects, as well as some small space "Insectoids" sets for parts.
These are just a listing of the sets I know of. Lot's of my friends ended up out-growing (I should be ashamed of myself...) their LEGO's and giving them to me. I have amassed quite a stockpile of these little bricks. The thing with LEGO's is, once you get the bug, you can never have enough. There's always that new piece that you can add to your custom spaceship or make a totally awesome design out of. You can never be bored with these things. There's always another builing waiting to be built, or another spaceship waiting to be made.
With my LEGO's I built a midieval community guarded by a huge mountain castle, complete with armor stores, horses, caves, many knights, weaponry, flora and fauna, villagers, carriages, chariots, dragons, wizards, and every aspect of this mythical work of art had been accounted for right down to the contents of treasure chests. In fact at one time when I was younger I used one of my worlds to make an RPG ala Dungeons and Dragons. I wrote up dialogue for characters, made LEGO items into hidden game items that the player would have to find by observing their surroundings and asking characters in the game. Your character had Attack Pts. Defense Pts. Experience Pts, Magic Spells, Special Abilies and all this was controlled with Dice. Enemies hid around every corner. All in all it was fun, but it seemed no one could win against me (I was the mind of the Controllers) the evil force that the player had to defeat. Using my space collection of parts I expanded the depth of the game's storyline to include elements of "extraterrestrial intervention." and so on. I even made my own game artwork of varous structures and characters around the environment. The role-playing-game has since been filed away in my archives but I will never forget it or how to make it again.
Hopefully someday soon I will post images of my LEGO creations on the website and you can view my Rembrandt of Spaceships "The Mothership" This thing is just Awesome! Every one of the kids in the neighborhood think it is just amazing. "You Built That? ...WOW...!" I've had it bulit for four years, and I will NEVER take it apart. My grandkids'll end up inheritin' this baby. Years ago I had to dismantle the Midieval City (to make room for computer components) but soon I'm planning to reconstruct it to its former glory. All the tools are there, all that is needed is creativity and imagination to create new worlds invisioned by the mind's eye.
